May 5-7, 2023 Live on Zoom!

Three days of virtual training from 10 am - 7 pm ET
(8 am MT | 7 am PT)

Dear Friends,

Twenty-five years ago, I received a call that my father had been violently killed.

This event was a life-changing moment that sent me on a journey to understand the purpose of pain. How do we deal with pain and suffering? How do we use these terrible moments to transform us into more loving, compassionate people?

For a long time, I was lost. I didn’t know how to do anything but avoid difficult emotions through spiritual practice and dissociation. During this time, I also had a coaching and acupuncture practice. While my clients experienced new awareness, I didn’t see fundamental shifts in their long-term patterns and negative habits. This troubled me because I was supposed to be helping people!

Over the years, I studied with many masters in Chinese medicine, coaching, and shadow resolution. I slowly started to learn how to engage with reliable practices to bring peace and a stable ability to live from wholeness and its expressions, such as unrelenting curiosity and compassion. In time, I wove together what I had learned into a transformational practice that produces reliable results

This practice draws upon modalities such as Internal Family Systems, virtue work inspired from Chinese medicine, and John Kessler’s Integral Polarity practice. This method has a dual purpose:

  1. To uncover and resolve shadow (which includes darkness and walled-off virtuous light)
  2. Stabilize in wholeness to lead from and interact with the world

If you want to learn an innovative and emergent method to resolving pain and suffering while uncovering and stabilizing the light of wholenessthis course is for you.

This course is for you if you struggle with patterns that don’t seem to go away, despite being aware of them. Or if you are in the helping professions (coaching, therapy, medicine), and want to deepen your capacity to understand your clients and respond from unbroken wholeness.

You're invited to take a profoundly transformative journey into the world of shadow resolution. Perfect for coaches, therapists, and health practitioners, this course will support you in developing a personal, in-depth shadow work practice, and you will begin learning how to become a parts-informed coach/practitioner.

I hope to see you there,

Alexander Love, PCC, NCC, M. Ac.

Discover

You will discover a new, innovative, and effective method for resolving shadow and uncovering wholeness. This course is a weaving together of ancient wisdom and modern discoveries in how we hurt and what is needed to thrive and live with freedom, deep joy, and resilience, despite the difficult things we have encountered.

Practice

You can practice this method step-by-step and engage with your class members to deepen your learning. We will catalyze the wisdom of being together to heighten the course experience and ignite meaningful insight.

Awaken

Shadow work is an effective means to resolve habitual patterns and negative behaviors. At a deeper level, though, this work becomes a training to anchor and stabilize wholeness as the heart of our interactions. While we resolve the causes of our suffering with this work, more importantly, we learn how to live from a deeply brilliant well of our profoundly good human nature.

When: May 5th - 7th (Friday - Sunday)

Where: Zoom (online)

Time: 8 am - 5 pm Mountain Time with an hour lunch break

Day One - Foundations

Day one sets the foundation for the course. Here you will learn the fundamental cause of the meta-crisis (the underlying crisis driving multiple crises, such as poverty, racism, climate crisis, etc.) and what is required to address it adequately. You will learn many features of the human instrument, drawing upon thousands of years of ancient wisdom, coupled with modern discoveries in what engenders the elimination of suffering. This will enable us to examine the key components of shadow and what you can do about it. This day will include practices that help us root in wholeness, a prerequisite for safe shadow resolution work.

Day Two - The Method

On day two, we will go on an inner journey together, exploring this method of shadow resolution step-by-step. This method is rich, nuanced, and multifaceted, so it will take the whole day to introduce and dive into experientially. You will learn how to access the three types of parts and how to help them move through a resolution process. This will allow the parts to discover their deeply good nature, at which point, they transform from a part that knows itself as fragment to virtuous qualities of being accessible in all territories of our life. Class time will be a blend of presentation, guided practice, and group discussion exploring your experiences and questions.

Day Three - Application

Whether you are a professional in the helping professions, such as a coach, therapist, or medical practitioner, or if you are someone attending this course for your personal development, the distinctions learned on this final day will support you to better understand your clients, friends (and foes). The day will begin with reviewing what we have learned so far to ensure you have some footing in creating your personal shadow work practice. A simple progression follows this for how to be a 'parts informed' human being. You will practice engaging from wholeness and listening for parts to understand the conflicts we live with as human beings every day and how to use a simple technique to invite transformative shifts. This will include a deep look at the heart of coaching, essential for anyone in the helping professions and profoundly helpful in talking with your angry neighbor. By the end, you will have new tools to engage deeply, safely, and responsibly with a parts-informed perspective.

Alexander Love, PCC, NCC, M.Ac. is an acupuncturist, developmental coach, and facilitator. With gentleness, lightness, and depth, he invites us to listen to the voice of our inner wisdom and potency and allow that to move us outward into the world and make a difference.

At the core of Alexander’s work is his belief that the quality and health of our future depend upon our willingness to come together and deepen our capacity to live from wholeness. If we can find the courage to embrace our painful experiences as individuals, life can become something that perpetually transforms us. As we transform, so does the world, and together we can co-create a beautiful future.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have access to the course (and what if I need to miss a day)?

This course is a live three-day Zoom course. It will be recorded, and the recordings will be uploaded to our platform, which you will have access to forever. This way, you can return to the presentation and practices whenever you like. Also, you won't miss the content if you miss a day or portion of the live event.

What if I am unhappy with the course?

We would never want you to be unhappy. If you are unsatisfied with the course, let us know within seven days of the live event, and we will give you a full refund.

Will I be trained to do shadow resolution with others?

It depends. If you are new to coaching and shadow resolution, this course will introduce you to shadow work, the ability to create a personal practice, and how to use what you learned to become "parts informed." This will profoundly enhance your coaching practice and give you many new distinctions and possibilities for supporting change. Being a parts-informed practitioner is a game changer, and you will learn how to apply this method. If this is your first time learning shadow resolution, you will not be ready to use the entire process with clients. This is very deep work, and coaches must have more training to use this whole method safely with clients. We will explore how to safely incorporate 'parts informed' in your coaching or therapeutic practice. If, however, you already practice shadow resolution, such as IFS or Kim Barta's method, this will offer many new distinctions you can add to your existing toolbox.

I am familiar with Internal Family Systems (IFS) or Kim Barta's work. Is this the same?

No, but it is informed by those and other traditions. This method draws upon some distinctions offered by IFS, and Alexander's first exploration of shadow work was with Kim Barta and his profound work. But this course is unique from both of those methods and adds other dimensions inspired by Chinese medicine, Daoist internal alchemy, and John Kessler's Integral Polarity Practice. There are certainly some similarities with IFS, and Alexander has been deeply impacted by Kim Barta's work, but they're are also significant differences and additions. Alexander is not IFS trained and offers a method that reflects his integration of many sources.

We go live on May 5th. Hope to see you there!
