This is the first step toward certification in the Lumina Process. In Level I, you’ll focus on your own transformation—building the foundations for deep integration. Level II will teach you how to apply these methods as a practitioner, and Level III offers supervision to refine your skills and become a certified Lumina Process Coach.

Discover
You will discover a new, innovative, and effective method for resolving shadow and uncovering wholeness. This course is a weaving together of ancient wisdom and modern discoveries in how we hurt and what is needed to thrive and live with freedom, deep joy, and resilience, despite the difficult things we have encountered.
Practice
Each month, you will have the opportunity to engage with your class members to deepen your learning. We will catalyze the wisdom of being together to heighten the course experience and ignite meaningful insight.
Awaken
The Lumina Process is an effective means to resolve habitual patterns and negative behaviors. At a deeper level, though, this work becomes a training to anchor and stabilize wholeness as the heart of our interactions. While we resolve the causes of our suffering with this work, more importantly, we learn how to live from a deeply brilliant well of our profoundly good human nature.

Course Structure: Each month participants will engage in a dynamic, immersive learning experience.
Each Month:
- Two-day virtual immersions with the whole cohort: There will be a presentation, practice, group discussion, and breakout sessions.
- Two-hour group practice session with Alexander: These sessions are largely relational and experiential.
- Peer groups (without Alexander): You will explore with your peers in emergent dialogue format to take the material deeper.
- Learning Guides: These are written prompts to support reflection and integration of the material.
Month One

Meet Your Facilitator
Alexander Love, MCC, NCC, M.Ac. is an acupuncturist, developmental coach, and facilitator. With gentleness, lightness, and depth, he invites us to listen to the voice of our inner wisdom and potency and allow that to move us outward into the world and make a difference.
At the core of Alexander’s work is his belief that the quality and health of our future depend upon our willingness to come together and deepen our capacity to live from wholeness. If we can find the courage to embrace our painful experiences as individuals, life can become something that perpetually transforms us. As we transform, so does the world, and together we can co-create a beautiful future.

Is this course ICF approved for CCE's?
Yes! This course is ICF approved for 40 Coaching Continuing Education (CCE) units (36 core competency & 4 Resource Development).
How long do I have access to the course (and what if I need to miss a day)?
This course is a live three-month Zoom course. It will be recorded, and the recordings will be uploaded to our platform, which you will have access to forever. This way, you can return to the presentation and practices whenever you like. Also, you won't miss the content if you miss a day or portion of the live event.
Will I be trained to do shadow resolution with others?
It depends. If you are new to coaching and/or parts work, this course will introduce you to the Lumina Process view of parts, the ability to create a personal practice, and how to use what you learned to become "parts informed." This will profoundly enhance your coaching practice and give you many new distinctions and possibilities for supporting change. Being a parts-informed practitioner is a game changer, and you will learn how to apply this method.
Lumina Level I focuses on your personal practice and embodying the material in your own life. Level II and III is where you will learn how to apply everything we have learned to the coaching dialogue.
Do I have to be a coach, therapist, acupuncturist or other type of helping practitioner to take this course?
No. Lumina Level I is design to 1) set the foundation for practicing the modality and 2) learn the method through creating a personal practice. Levels II and III are for those who want to learn how to apply this as a professional. Level I course is great if you only plan to explore parts work for your own personal development. For coaches and other practitioners, Level I is a prerequisite for the rest of the training.
I am familiar with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and/or Kim Barta's work. Is this the same?
No, but it is informed by those and other traditions. The Lumina Process draws upon some distinctions offered by IFS, and Alexander's exploration of parts work with Kim Barta. The Lumina Process is inspired by both of those traditions but has many distinct differences. The Lumina Process also adds other dimensions inspired by Chinese medicine, Tibetan Buddhism, Daoist internal alchemy, developmental theory, and John Kessler's Integral Polarity Practice. Alexander is not IFS trained and offers a method that reflects his integration of many sources.
